I asked this same question regarding mWaveshaper, and if I understand the answer correctly, it is always essentially processing in dual mono (unlinked) for L+R mode.
Looking now at mSpectralDynamics, and getting confused. My interpretation of manual is that L+R is (linked) stereo mode. It mentions being able to run L and R channels separately with different settings by combining two instances with opposing L and R only modes, but that's not what I want to do.
I just want to have one instance with one setting so I don't have to keep copy/pasting between instances every time I make a change, but just unlink the stereo processing so each side is being processed independently... both for convenience, and because it's very taxing on my system running multiple instances.
Am I misunderstanding this? Is L+R mode processing the two sides independently? It doesn't sound like it to me, but not seeing an option to unlink.
