Instruments • Help - Can't get Ample Sound Guitar M Lite II in Garageband

Hi all - coming on here because I absolutely cannot figure out how to get the Ample Guitar M Lite II plug-in to show up in Garageband. I couldn't find support options on Ample Sound's website so I figured this would be my next best bet.

For context:
-I downloaded the plug-in and the ASHost app works perfectly by itself, but it doesn't appear as a plug-in option in Garageband.
-I called Apple for help and already enabled audio units, uninstalled and reinstalled the plug-in multiple times, updated Garageband and tried entering commands manually in Terminal, but still nothing worked.
-When I downloaded another plug-in (MAudio), I had no problem getting it to show in Garageband, so that means it has to be a problem with Ample Sound, right?
-I am working on macOS Ventura 13.5.2

Any advice is very appreciated, even if you just know a good, free alternative to Ample Sound's plug-in. Thank you!

Update:
I got the plug-in to show up in Garageband finally! But now I'm getting this error message - InstDir Read Error; 7; Loading samples failed. Plug-in will not make sound. Please set instrument path in Setting if you have moved samples folder into another place.

I haven't changed the location of the instrument path since I downloaded the plug-in. Any clue what might be going on?
